I’m Bronagh Miskelly also known as La Purple Penguin and as @BronaghKnits.

I am originally from the north of Ireland but am now based in London.

As well as channeling my endlessly exploring mind into creating knitwear with interesting details and/or construction, I am a writer, and teach knitting workshops - specialising in technique I love.

I love working with lace and charts, cables and intricate shaping whether in my own designs or writing or editing patterns for others.

I love creating patterns that will be interesting to knit and give you pleasure to wear in yarns that bring a smile to your face.

When I’m not playing with one set of pointy sticks I also enjoy picking up my sabre for a spot of fencing and have even competed in the UK national veterans championships.
